I have many unique interests outside of school that I will outline on this page!

Photography

In my free time I enjoy exploring the outdoors and documenting my journey with my Canon T3I DSLR. Some of my favorite things to photograph are urban environments, architecture, cars, landscapes, and perhaps my favorite, the night sky. Some of my favorite photos can be viewed on the photography page of this blog.

Arduino Programming

Another interest of mine is programming which i enjoy exercising by creating small gadgets with my Arduino kit. One of my favorite projects that I have worked on is a prototype rocket stabilization system. I integrated 4 servos and an accelerometer into my system along with 3D printed fins to control the attitude and rotational speed of the rocket. I utilized a basic Kalman filter to achieve desirable results.

RC Aircraft (FPV Quadcopters)

Flying has been a passion of mine since my youth, and a hobby of mine that allows me to connect with this passion on a daily basis is through remote control aircraft. I currently build and maintain custom FPV (First Person View) quadcopters that are flown through special goggles. When Building a new quadcopter, much care has to be taken in selecting proper components and tuning the final product to ensure the flight characteristics are as desired.

Reading

Lastly, I have a great interest in reading books of all genres. I believe that reading benefits my life in a variety of different aspects such as broadening my perspective, improving my problem solving skills, and sculpting me into a more well rounded individual overall.
